Our second amendment rights as outlined in the Constitution are absolute and not to be altered. I believe it is every citizen’s right to own and use firearms in a responsible manner for protection of life and property and for sporting purposes. Time and time again the possession of firearms by law abiding citizens has been shown to be a benefit to social order. Responsible citizens do not break the laws, criminals do. The criminals among us do not care if they are breaking the law with a gun. Gun laws mean nothing to them…they are criminals and will continue to use guns in the commission of their crimes regardless of the laws. Restrictive gun laws are unnecessary and do nothing to stop criminal activity, in fact, more restrictive gun laws make criminal activity more likely.
